Drug Test and Background Check are both optional qualifications for Sellers to add. However, we do have some Buyers who will require this qualification in order to accept any of their orders. *If onboarding a seller to EZM, Background Check is required. If that seller is in MO, drug test is also required.

The Background Check testing is through CheckR and time for when results are received can vary from a couple of days to up to 30 days in some instances.

The Drug Test is done through Quest Diagnostics and results should be received in 3-5 days.

Both of these qualifications have a $40 fee that the Seller is responsible for paying. If the invitation to the drug test or background check expires, the seller has to pay again. We advise them to accept the invitation or set up an appointment asap.

There are circumstances where a Buyer, like EZM has provided the Seller with a discount code. This discount code may be for the entire fee or half of the fee.

EZK can also issue discount codes to the Seller. Additionally, there may be instances where EZ Knock waives the payment process entirely for the Seller and initiates the background check themselves.

Bypassing Seller Payment

In order to bypass Seller payment for either qualification, UST must initiate/order the qualification prior to the Seller clicking the payment option. To initiate or order, UST must either add the qualification if it has not already been added by the Seller, and then use the status drop down to choose the order/initiate option.

You will receive a pop-up that advises what the Seller will receive and how to check for status. Click Order Drug Test or Send Background Check Invite to start the process of testing. Once you click submit, the approval drop down/status of the qualification will change to In Progress.

Check Status

To check the status of a Drug Test or Background Check, use the approval drop down and click Order Drug Test or Initiate Background Check. Clicking these after process has already been initiated will not cause another test/email to be sent.

The status of the test/check will be displayed in a pop-up.

Drug Test:

You can click "See more details" to be taken to Quest's portal to view more details about the order if. Drug Test also will show notes from Quest regarding the testing process. If results are present, they will be listed and you can download the full results list by clicking the download icon next to the result.

Background Check:

When checking the status or result of the background check you will see a similar pop-up to the below. In this example, three statuses are showing. In a normal instance only one status would show. More details about the check can be found if you download the result document by clicking on the paper icon next to the result.

Approving Qualifications

When approving the Drug Test or Background Check qualification, you will need to download the result document and upload the document to the Seller's document before approving.

For both the Drug Test and the Background Check, there will be a paper icon with a download symbol. Choose this option to download the document.

*If a Seller fails a Drug Test, they can take another, but it is required they pay again. Negative = Passing, Positive = Fail.

The below example shows multiple statuses, this was conducted in Test EZK so you will not see the same in production.

Once you have downloaded the document, you can upload to the Seller's Document tab under the correct category.

Once uploaded, Update the Expiry (Drug Test and Background Checks expire after one year) and then you can Mark as Approved.
