The EZ Knock Marketplace is a new spin on process serving in the 21st century. As a result there are some vocabulary terms, keywords, that may not be as familiar. This article attempts to clarify some keywords and vocabulary for EZ Knock.
Marketplace - the arena of competitive or commercial dealings; the world of trade. EZ Knock connects buyers and sellers to efficiently conduct business.
Order - request (something) to be made, supplied, or served. EZ Knock facilitates orders between buyers and sellers
Facilitator - a person or thing that makes an action or process easy or easier. EZ Knock facilities the joining of buyers and sellers to complete an order in the marketplace.
User - a person who uses or operates something, especially a computer or other machine. In EZ Knock both buyers and sellers are users.
Buyer - the person or entity placing the order, making the purchase. An active user.
Seller - the person performing the work to complete the order. An active user.
Lead - contact with a potential customer, also known as a “prospect”. EZ Knock aims to convert as many leads to active users as possible and to generate leads from various sources.
Marketing - the first step to generating leads, sparking interest in a product or brand. EZ Knock markets to both buyers and sellers.
Sales - converting leads to users, converting prospects. Virtually all EZ Knock staff engage in the sales cycle to convert leads and generate ongoing business from users.
Market - a zip code or combination of zip codes
Competitive Market - a zip code with 4 or more sellers
Semi Competitive Market - a zip code with 2 or 3 sellers
Uncompetitive Market - a zip code with only 1 seller
Priority Uncompetitive Market - a zip code with 20,000 or more people and only 1 seller
Uncovered Market - a zip code with no sellers
Priority Uncovered Market - a zip code with no sellers and a population greater than 20,000
Qualification - a quality or accomplishment that makes someone suitable for a particular job or activity. EZ Knock allows sellers to choose their qualifications and allows buyers to select which qualifications should be required for a given order.
Profile - a short article giving a description of a person or organization. In EZ Knock the profile contains basic information about a buyer or a seller
Extenuating Circumstance - circumstances that render conduct less serious and thereby serve to reduce the damages to be awarded or the punishment to be imposed. In EZ Knock the agreement between Buyer and Seller is implied as a contract and Extenuating Circumstances allows one or both of the parties to raise circumstances that modify the contract/order.
Reviews - a critical appraisal of a book, play, movie, exhibition, etc., published in a newspaper or magazine. EZ Knock allows buyers to review the marketplace so that other buyers may observe those experiences.
Ratings - a classification or ranking of someone or something based on a comparative assessment of their quality, standard, or performance. EZ Knock allows buyers and sellers to rate one another on each order.
Testimonials - a formal statement testifying to someone's character and qualifications. EZ Knock seeks select testimonials from sellers, and buyers, to use in marketing material and to share with potential users
Direct Messaging - a chat/messenger feature that allows buyers and sellers to communicate directly with one another and for the user support team to be able to moderate/mediate those conversations if necessary
Support Chat - a chat/messenger feature that allows buyers and sellers(separately) to communicate with the user support team. EZ Knock uses Intercom for this feature set.
Candy Bowl Order - a specific order type that a buyer places making an order available to all sellers in an area that meet the minimum qualifications, usually done to get a price below the suggested retail prices listed by the sellers but may also be done to promote competition
Marketplace Order - a specific order type where a buyer places an order by selecting a seller from the list of sellers in a given market
Trusted Seller Order - a specific order type where a buyer places an order directly to a specific seller based on prior experiences or preferences
