Where to find testing information
Where to find testing information
You should receive notification in your email (it may come in personal or work, depending on what you have listed in Paycom) that it is time to take a test in LMS. Some tests are due annually, and others every two years. On occasion, a test may receive an update and must be taken sooner. The email should come from sender ‘noreply.csdlms’ and the subject line will start with ‘Upcoming Expiration Notification for Course:’. The email may look something like this in your inbox:

Do not delete this, it is not junk. You may have to review your junk folder to locate them, sometimes your email will ‘kill’ it thinking it is spam. If the item is in your junk folder you will have to indicate it is ‘Not spam’ or ‘Not junk’ depending on your email provider/ program. If you oops and delete this email, don't panic! Simply go to the Troubleshooting/ tips section for a solution!
The email you receive will notify you of the testing you have to complete. The body of the email will have a line showing you the specific testing name like this: Your Course: MCT105 Cyber Security Awareness for General Users will be expiring soon on 3/29/2021.
This email will contain two sets of instructions. One for OAG networked staff (people who work at the OAG offices) and one set for non-OAG networked staff (this is us!). Follow the directions carefully, you don’t want to have to re-take a test, or accidentally take a test you don’t have to. There is ONE correction to the instructions you receive… you CAN use Chrome now!
Step-by-step instructions
1- Fill in the ‘Username’ blank. Generally, this is your first initial and full last name. Your username is not case sensitive. Then fill in your password. If you have NOT used LMS before your temporary password is ‘password’ (lowercase). Then click ‘Login’. If you cannot remember your password or username use the link in the box that says ‘Forgot Username or Password?’ DO NOT contact CSD. If you encounter any

2- Once you log click ‘Courses’ at the top left and select ‘E-Learning Catalog’.

3- Use the arrows on the left side of the ‘Filter Options’ area, then use the drop down to select ‘SoP for Vendor FTEs (EZ Messenger)’, then click ‘Go’.

4- Locate the course you need to take in the list and select ‘Register’.

5a- A new po-up will appear and you will have 3 options. If you chose the right course, select either ‘Register’ if you are not yet ready to take the test (or need to register for additional tests), or if you are ready to take your test select ‘Register & Launch’. If you choose ‘Register’ the pop-up closes and takes you back to the previous short course list.

5b- If you did not select ‘Register & Launch’ you can choose ‘Launch Course’ when ready from the E-Learning Catalog screen.

6- After you click ‘Launch Course’ click the text link in the ‘Lesson’ area.

7- A new window should pop-up where you can take the test. Follow all on-screen prompts. Use the appropriate buttons such as ‘play’, ‘prev’, ‘next’, and ‘EXIT and Mark as Complete’ to continue thru and complete the test. The OAG includes audio on tests which you may listen to on a headset, or at an appropriate level at your desk.
8- On the last screen of the test you will asked to ‘EXIT and Mark as Complete’. Once you do that it should take you back to your CBT Course Detail screen and you should see the status has changed from ‘Not Started’ to ‘Complete (Passed)’.

Troubleshooting/ tips
If your login credentials do not work use the 'Forgot Username or Password?' link. Do not email LMS unless the 'Forgot Username or Password?' link did not get you in.

Please do not contact EZM's HR staff if an error occurs during testing, if your testing fails out, and for general issues during use of the website. Instead send an email to: CSD-TRN@oag.texas.gov. Do not reply to the email you received testing notification from, or the email will not be received.
If one of the steps above does not produce the pop-up window try to close all other open browser windows and applications on your computer then try again, the pop-up window may be hiding. If that does not work try following these steps:
If you want to double check your tests another way you can click the 'SoP for Vendor FTEs (EZ Messenger)' link in the 'My Training Plan' section under 'My Calendar' on the right side of the screen.

The pop-up window will give you a breakdown of all courses you have to regularly take. Double-check your 'Expiration' dates. Once you pinpoint any overdue items you can then go back to step 2 and start from there.
