Purpose: Tier 2 Mail Clerks primary focus is to mail filed cases to law enforcement for service all over the United States. Reading profiles and ensuring the correct fees are being sent with the documents that need to be served and any additional forms that are required by the sheriff. Processing the sheriff returns and the ability to read the service information and assigning the jobs to the correct queues once the job has been served.
The Mail Clerk Specialist will assist in printing, check requesting, collating the documents for law enforcement and ultimately mailing the documents to their office for service. Maintaining the smooth transition of mailing to sheriff for service and processing the sheriff returns once they complete the request for service is very important. Striving for accuracy with fees/documents and occasionally calling the sheriff for confirmation on fees helps deter delays in service. All mail clerks will be provided with any on the job training for any given tasks for mailing to law enforcement and processing sheriff returns and invoices.

Ability to use google to locate forms on sheriff websites required for service
Occasional calling to sheriff offices for fee info
Job Duties Details:
Ability to monitor Need Constable queue daily to ensure oldest jobs/upcoming due dates are getting mail to sheriff/constable first.
Updating sheriff profiles for accurate information needed for mail clerks.
Handling and maintaining postage machines.
Reading Sheriff Returns and Invoices accurately and paying invoices in a timely manner.
Making precise notes in the jobs of information needed or actions taken.
Notifying the lead/manager of low stock of envelopes, tape, labels, and misc supplies required for daily mailing tasks.
Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of computer and keyboard skills
Knowledge of shipping fedex/UPS/USPS for rush requests
Ability to utilize verbal and written instructions
