EZ Messenger Staff - FAST GUI Hotkeys

Have you ever wanted a quicker way to work inside the FAST GUI that does not include clicking, clicking, clicking? Here is a listing of hotkeys (a.k.a. keyboard shortcuts) that may help make that item you are working your way thru go a little faster.

From the Dashboard:

Start a new case: ALT + N

Advanced search: ALT + F

Actions on stack: F5

Batch scan: F3

From the case screen:

Save: ALT + S

Save/ Close: ALT + S

New case, same client, same info: F4

New job: F2

For the selected job(s) on case screen:

Print Dynaform: ALT + D

Assign to specific server: ALT + A

Ready for Service job: ALT + R

Print affidavit: ALT + V

Print barcode: ALT + B

Change holder, check in/ check out: F8

Close the window: ALT + X

From the job screen:

Save: ALT + S

Save/ Close: ALT + S

Enter status event/ attempt: F7

Ready for Service job: CTRL + R

Dynaform: ALT + D

WorkOrder: ALT + W

Affidavit: ALT + A

Change holder: ALT + H

Assign to server/ queue: ALT + G

Client screen: CTRL + I

Server screen: CTRL + G

Go to CTR function: CTRL + T

Go to case screen: F6

Go to Charges/ Events: F9

Close the window: ALT + X

From the Events screen:

Enter status event/ attempt: ALT + E

Close the window: ALT + X

From the Status Items pop-up screen:

Save: ALT + S

Save and Email: ALT + E

Additional notations:

Pressing ALT on any given screen will usually underline a corresponding letter for an item that has an associated shortcut.

You can usually go from field to field by pressing TAB and toggle boxes by pressing ENTER. This usually works in web browsers as well.

Check a box by pressing ENTER once the box is ‘highlighted’.

Some date fields can be auto filled with today’s date by pressing T while the cursor is in them.

Down and up arrows will go thru drop-down menu selections when the field is ‘highlighted’.

In a drop-down menu you can often type the first couple of letters of an item in the menu then press ENTER or TAB to select it once highlighted.
