How to use the chat feature on the EZM Web Portal

EZ Messenger's chat feature on the platform called Intercom is available via computer or via the mobile app. You can find instructions for the mobile app version here.
Below is how to use this feature on a computer. 

  1. Log onto the EZ Messenger web portal and click Account. Not sure how to log in? Click here for instructions. 

  2. Locate the green chat bubble at the bottom right of your screen

If you notice a number in red, that is the amount of chats you have waiting to be read. When you click on the green chat bubble a pop-up resembling the below should appear. Your name or the subserver you chose when logging in should be at the top. (If this is not the correct name, log out and log back in) Clicking the green circle with an 'x'  at the bottom, will close the chat pop-up. 

How do I check my unread chats or previous chats?

To check your unread chats, or previous chats click "See All"

How do I start a new conversation? 

Clicking "New Conversation" from the main screen or your chat history screen will take you to start a new chat.  You can attach items such as files and pictures if needed by clicking the icons to the right of the response box. 

Can I search for answers before chatting?

Yes you can! Typing in key words in the search bar under "Find an answer for yourself" and clicking enter will provide you with helpful articles that may answer your question.
