What is an Alternative Service Request?
Alternative Service Request is a manner a job can be closed as once the requirements for such manner have been met.
What is needed to request Alternative Service?
At minimum 4 diligent attempts, click here for attempt specifications. For some clients/courts more than 4 attempts are required before alternative service can be requested.
Proof of residency (CAD report, MVD report)
Confirmation of residency (From a resident at the given address, or servee themselves)
Client/State must allow for Alternative Service Requests
How do I request Alternative Service?
On the EZ Serve app, the outcome you will select is Attempt and then “I am requesting alternative service”. For more information on how to enter attempts in on the EZM Mobile App, please click here.
When should I request Alternative Service?
If you have met all requirements listed above and have not been able to make service you can request alternative service.
What happens after I request Alternative Service?
Once Alternative Service is requested, you will need to submit your proof (CAD report or MVD report). This can be done on the web portal via Upload Docs. For instructions on how to upload click here.
Once the affidavit is received and reviewed and no additional attempts/information is needed it will be sent off to the court/client to review. If approved for Alternative Service the job will be assigned back to you with an order granting alternative service.
