EZ Messenger Vendors- Should I submit as a Bad Address?

How do I know if I have a job that should be submitted as a Bad Address?

BAD ADDRESS

A bad address is when you confirm the defendant does not reside at the address provided. Example: You have made contact with current tenant/owner and they stated the defendant no longer lives at the address or does not know the defendant. Neighbors verified that the defendant lived at the property, but state that they moved away, or they do not know them.  CAD (or appraisal district website) does not show that they were property owners, if address is a house. Apartment Property Management (Leasing) stated that the defendant does not rent/lease the property. You must be descriptive and detailed as to how you determined it is a bad address. If confirmation of a bad address is determined, select bad address and not problem for the job.

Vacant property is considered a bad address. Be descriptive of how you know it’s vacant. Example: Property is vacant. Blinds are open and no furniture inside the residence and leasing sign in front yard. Neighbors have confirmed it is vacant (with a physical description of the neighbors, and address or unit number/description if apartments). If the address is for an apartment, confirming that it is vacant with the leasing management would be desired.

If you think you should submit the job as a Problem instead but are not sure, check out this article here.

After a job is submitted as a bad address the job maybe closed for Non-Service. If any new addresses are found it may be sent back out for service. If our review team requires any additional information or diligent attempts, the job may be assigned back to you to complete. Please ensure you are detailing your bad address attempt when entering it in.
