EZ Messenger Vendors - Compensation Policy
Vendor pay, process server compensation
Diligence/Commission Policy
EZM's commission policy is based on diligence, not based on the number of attempts required.
To meet diligence, all client, court and state specific instructions must be followed. Some clients require more attempts than our standard of 4 attempts. These special attempt requirements must be followed per the special instructions. Please note that Servers are paid commission for diligence at an address and not based on the number of attempts. All attempts required must be met. You can find a complete outline of what is required to meet diligence here.
All special instructions on the Field Sheet must be followed, failure to do so will result in the commission being pulled.
Diligent efforts to complete service must be made prior to any due dates or hearing dates.
Diligent efforts to attempt and a detailed record of those efforts must be made.
Each attempt must be updated timely using the EZM mobile app or web portal.
A photo using the EZM mobile app is required for all attempts and serves.
Alternative Service Requests
One commission will pay out for approved orders for Alternative Service Requests. No additional commission will be added for the posting/subservice.
Vendor must not be on hold, opted into the zip code, and in good standing to receive a job back after order is approved for Alternative Service. If EZM is not able to assign the job back to the vendor for the posting/subservice per the above, the job will be reassigned to a new vendor and commission will be removed and switched to the new vendor who is assigned the job.
TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL PAY STRUCTURE
***Effective November 1st. 2018 updated May 19th, 2019***
The evolution of our business and the expectations of our customers have resulted in a change in our vendor compensation process. This will only impact TXOAG urban addresses in Texas. To see if an area is considered urban, please see your Opt In Map tab in your My Account on the web portal. Urban areas will be highlighted in blue.
All non-served TXOAG urban addresses will pay a decreased rate: 50% of commission rate upon acceptance of the address if there are 3 or more vendors in good standing opted into the zip code. The decreased commission will show when accepting the job on the portal.
2. All successfully served TXOAG urban addresses will pay a 25% increase in commission if there are 3 or more vendors in good standing opted into the zip code. This increase also applies to jobs that are submitted for alternative service. Once the affidavit is received and checked in a second commission with the 25% increase will be available to approve along with the first commission.
3. For example, if your commission is currently set at $30.00, then your fee to non-serve the address would be $15.00 (if 3 or more vendors are in good standing) and your fee to serve at the address will be $37.50 (If 3 or more vendors in good standing are opted in) . If served or alternative service is requested, your first commission will show as $15.00 and your second commission will show as $22.50
4. If there are less than 3 vendors in good standing opted into the zip code for a TXOAG urban address, the commission will be the regular rate for that zip code whether served or not served. For example if the rate for the zip code is $25, you will see the commission as such when you go to accept. Only the regular rate commission will show and pay out.
5. If due diligence is not met on court or client requested scenarios it could result in a reduced or zero commission.
