How to determine the difference between Urban and Non Urban areas and why it matters

Urban and Non-Urban designated areas only matter for Texas Office of the Attorney General service orders. Your compensation may be impacted on a non-serve in an Urban area. 

How do I find out if an area is Urban?

Urban areas will be shaded in a dark blue on your Opt In Map on the web portal. 

  1. Log into our web portal at www.ezmessenger.com Not sure how to log in? Click HERE.

  2. Once logged in, click the account button by clicking the drop down (welcome, company name) on the top right corner of the web portal

3. Once you click account you will be required to enter your password again. Once       you have typed in your password click the continue button.

4. The top of the screen you will find a tab that says Opt In Map. Click this tab to take you to the Opt In Map to view urban areas.

5. Once the map loads you will see different colored pins. Please use the Legend below the map to determine what each pin color means. In the legend, Urban Areas are dark blue.
