How to view and manage your Exception Jobs

Exception Jobs are jobs that require immediate attention. However, not all exceptions are necessarily bad but do need your attention.

These are various types of exceptions you may see:

Due Date Exception: prompting 10 days before due date. This job will continue to be an exception until the job is closed out.

Stale Return of Service: If an affidavit is not returned to our office within 3 days it will report as a stale return of service.

Stale Attempt: Any job that goes longer than 10 days without attempts. With new automation rules, there may be different time frames for this exception, see this article here for more information.

Vendor Acceptance: Vendor has 2 days to accept job before it becomes an exception. With new automation rules, there may be different time frames for this exception, see this article here for more information.

Stale Assignment- 35 days or longer possession

Stale Alt Service-Affidavit for alternative service not returned with 2 days.

How to notate an exception job:

  1. Click the pencil icon to the far right of the exception. You will notice the type of the exception is listed in the table.

2. You will enter in the date you will return to attempt the job again, or are submitting the affidavit. Notes also must be added; this can be in regards to the attempt you will make, or an affidavit you will be uploading. Once all fields are completed, click 'Submit'.

Each exception job will need to be notated. Exceptions remain until they are cleared. This can be done by making an attempt, or submitting an affidavit and it being checked in.

Please note that the exceptions report is generated once a day  in the morning, and does not update throughout the day. Any changes made to jobs may not reflect on your exceptions report until the following day.
